Matisse, the Lab
I'll
never forget the day we brought Matisse into our home. He was so
small and scared. I even found myself thinking that it was wrong to
set him apart from his siblings, that I was just making him suffer so
that I could keep him. For a while, I considered myself the most
selfish person in the world for loving him so deeply. Now, everytime
I look into his eyes I know he is a happy dog, with all the love and
care he needs and deserves, a lovely creature that changed our lives forever,
making us better everyday.
We became three on September 2015, Matisse was only four months old. I knew his name years before I met him and taking care of him has been the best experience of my life. Together, we have been put through some tough moments, from which he always bounces back impecably, urging me to bounce back too, stronger than before and ready for anything.

I
know how peace feels like when he runs by my side at the beach, when
he dares to defy the waves, always a little shy in the beginning,
facing its own fear one step at a time. It's by the sea that perfect
happiness happens to us... when we sit down covered in sand and let
the sea take all our problems away.
